THE POUR-OVER BAR
The pour-over bar in Bird Rock also houses our roastery and was opened in July 2006. On any given day, you can spot community members, tourists, business owners, and the occasional celebrity interacting with each other, learning about coffee at ‘cupping’ events, or listening to live music, while always enjoying our rotating selection of brewed coffee and seasonal espresso.
Here, you can find our in-season roasted beans and freshly baked pastries from local artisans, Bread and Cie, Sugar and Scribe, and the French Gourmet.
The Pour-Over Bar
Our pour-over bar, one of the first in San Diego, features our very best 3-4 coffees brewed via Hario, Beehouse, or Chemex with the metal Kone filter. The pour-over bar offers one an excellent opportunity to experience all the nuances and complexity of our coffee, meticulously brewed to order.
Next door to the coffee bar is the Art Cooperative, a Space for Art and Music. Each month we feature art from local artists in addition to space dedicated to art installations from local schools. We also feature live music on the weekends in addition to a twice-monthly open mic.
